Second Chance Kids is a volunteer-run registered charity dedicated to supporting families of Grey and Bruce Counties who have a child requiring lengthy out-of-town hospitalization.
• Reduce financial burden and stress on families.
• Enhance the opportunity for children to have the natural supports of parents/guardians during hospitalization, thus reducing the child’s emotional trauma.
• Reduce family stress by providing related resources/services that may assist the family.
• Enhance the resiliency of families to reduce family break-down.
